As TOP Network Mainnet launch is approaching, we are thrilled to announce that TOP has begun to open-source its code. A few of the core repositories of TOP Mainnet will soon be available on GitHub, a critical milestone to the success of creating an open, transparent decentralized ecosystem. We built everything of TOP Mainnet from scratch by designing, implementing and writing every line of code on our own, which involved far more workload and challenges than most of the existing public chain projects. TOP Chain supports network sharding, computing sharding, and state sharding, which enabled the blockchain to fully horizontally scale out to achieve high TPS.
In addition, we kicked off our Node Recruitment starting on Sept. 16, an open, borderless campaign for global candidates to join our permissionless public chain. There are three types of nodes on TOP Network: Edge Nodes, Validator Nodes, and Advanced Nodes. Candidates can deposit a minimum of 100,000 TOP and simply rent a cloud server to operate nodes and earn a whopping of 65% annual return. Upcoming Events
TOP is flying to Prague, Czech Republic, in two weeks! We are co-hosting a global hackathon with our strategic investor Rockaway Blockchain. This two-day gathering for cypherpunks also involved top-tier blockchain projects including Binance DEX, Oasis Lab, and Matic. We have prepared four challenges that will give the developers hands-on experience of TOP’s technical stacks including the smart contracts and TOP SDK/API. Technical Development
· Code freeze of basic modules on TOP Chain: Completed testing and acceptance of the basic modules of TOP Chain (network layer, consensus layer, management modules for transaction and lattice). Started code freeze.
· TOP Developer Service Center: Developed the first version of the website for developer documentation and sample code.
· Optimization of TOP Staking and smart contracts to distribute incentives on Mainnet: Completed V2 optimization of node staking, voting and smart contracts to distribute incentives.
· Simulation and Testing of TOP Mainnet: Scaled TOP main testnet up to 1500 nodes, which cover the world’s major cloud computing providers and data centers.
Community
· Our global community keeps growing. The number of community members in our WeChat group, Kakao group and Twitter continue to rise. We will roll out more activities with fun to spark conversations and help you get more engaged with our fellows around the world.
· We published two articles going through the details of what Taylor talked about at Whiteboard Session with NEAR Protocol’s CTO Illia Polosukhin. For those of you who haven’t watched the video yet, check out this technical analysis for more details.

TOP CEO Steve was interviewed by Blockcast, one of the leading blockchain media outlets. In the one-hour interview, Steve talked about the recent progress of TOP Network, the approach to developing a booming decentralized ecosystem, and the upcoming plans for Mainnet launch. According to Steve, TOP is finishing the final parts of the Mainnet which is scheduled to launch soon, two years ahead of the launch of Ethereum 2.0 that shares similar features with TOP like sharding, smart contracts, staking, etc. Moreover, Steve said TOP has formed two teams to develop large-scale, in-depth blockchain games, a way to create a comparatively prosperous ecosystem with massive transactions for DApp developers after the Mainnet launch.

TOP Network originated from the common underlying network layer of Dingtone, CoverMe and SkyVPN, three communication apps built by the TOP team before the blockchain project. A total of 1.5 billion TOP Tokens were sold out in seconds, after which the price of TOP surged 2770% once it was freely tradable. Upon the listing, TOP’s trading volume hit $100 million in just eight seconds, and surpassed the trading volume of Bitcoin at $250 million in less than a week, ranking first in terms of volume on Huobi Global. Before that, TOP Network has closed $15 million early investments from prestigious institutional investors and individual billionaire investors, including DHVC, Fenbushi Capital, NEO Global Capital (NGC), Ontology Global Capital (OGC), LD Capital and more.
