Blockchain Silk Road
On April 5th, we — along with Jinse Finance — officially launched our “Blockchain Silk Road.” The idea was to select five promising projects and allow them to make inroads into the Chinese market. After much deliberation and careful review by the organizers and participating media groups, we narrowed in on the following projects — Blockstack, CasperLabs, KardiaChain, LA Token, Pledgecamp, and HUPAYX. That’s correct. It was so close that we were forced to choose six projects instead of five! An online AMA will be conducted later on with each of the projects, so keep an eye out for those.
TOP Network and HUPAYX AMA
On April 10th, TOP Network and HUPAYX, a payments platform, conducted an AMA with the Korean community. The topic of the AMA was “The Role of Blockchain Technology under the Pandemic Situation,” an in-depth discussion on the role of blockchain technology in the epidemic.
The Korean community expressed their enthusiasm about TOP, as was evident from their questions. Interestingly enough, this is the first time we have cooperated with a Korean project to conduct an online AMA. Coinness, a well-known blockchain media in the Korean media circle, announced that we will launch more AMA overseas in the future.
Technical Progress
- TOP Native Staking and cross-chain staking contracts have completed regular testing and experimentation on the latest test network (1000+ nodes). We will continue to do fixed-point, in-depth examination of the test network.
- We have finished improving the beacon clock chain’s anti-DDoS mechanism and the next stage will be code review and in-depth testing.
- Conducted a large-scale pressure test of the core consensus and storage module for up to 1 week, and no leakage was found. The next step is to stress test the other major modules one-by-one.
- Our security team is currently reviewing the relevant code surrounding the operating system’s NTP clock synchronization. If this code does get attacked, the system time can potentially roll back abnormally, which will trigger some loopholes in the code level check logic for some time stamps. This is why our team is making sure that such a thing can never happen.
- The new version of the white paper document is being translated.
- We have optimized the contract compiler tool and broadcast algorithm.
- Finished research on node program optimization plan and confirmation of some optimization needs. Developer node one-click docker deployment, pre-research, and development have been completed.
Upcoming Events
On April 16th, TOP was invited to participate in the second phase of the “Industry Blockchain Talks” hosted by Milin Finance. The main topic of conversation is — “How to Bring Blockchain into the Communication Service Industry?”
Noah Wang, co-founder of TOP Network and He Xueqin, CEO of Heshuqin Technology, will have an in-depth discussion about:
- The relationship between the blockchain technology and the communications service industry.
- How to introduce blockchain to the communication service industry?
- What new applications and enhancements can be made to existing mature social media, mobile operators, and communication networks?
